He was so excited, he could hardly stand it. And, we were so proud. This is a big day in everyone’s life. I remember my first day of school.

All in all, he had a great day.

This might seem a bit early, but with Labor Day also comes a reminder that the summer is closing. And, the holiday season will be upon us before we know it. What better time than to get a family portrait session for your holiday cards? Take a nice photo on a sunny So Cal beach, and send it to your relatives in Minnesota in the dead of winter

It’s a good time to beat the rush, and relax when the holidays arrive.

Yesterday, I didn’t have a wedding to shoot, so I went over to Mike & Monica’s house. They are good friends, and they had a birthday party for their two sons, Jake and Josh.

This first photo has nothing to do with anything, I just love it. This is our friend Heather and her daughter.

Everybody had a great time. They rented a water slide and a jumper, so the kids were busy all day.

Tracy is a good friend of ours who is getting married at the end of September. I met Brent last night for the first time, and he’s a great guy. I’m sure they’ll be happy together! It’s good to see when your friends hit it off with someone.

They came over last night, and we did a quicky e-session around the house where I live in Long Beach.

Brent is a techie guy that can build me a new blog. So, we exchanged photo time for a new custom blog. Yes, Brent, this is a reminder of the deal ;)  So, be looking out for a new and improved blog soon!

I can’t wait for their wedding in San Diego. I’ll defintely be posting some of those photos.

I got tagged by my buddy Mark Gardner. The game is that I have to tell you 8 things about myself that you probably don’t know about me, and then tag 8 more people. So, here’s goes:

1. I worked in a meat packing plant as a teenager.
2. I’m kind of a wine snob. While I’ll drink cheap super market wine, if that’s all that’s available, don’t you dare bring me Trader Joes wine! GAG!
3. I’m not a beer snob though, so Bud’s fine by me.
4. I LOVE peanut butter.
5. I used to be a musician, and played in metal bands in the 80’s. (Oh, maybe you gathered that by the photo a few posts down).
6. I have a BA in Economics, and an MBA.
7. I am a SF Forty-Niners fan!
8. I have a secret goal to shoot a wedding on every continent of the world.
